Hey y’all. Did you know I have a podcast/youtube channel called Chats from the Blog Cabin where I chat with some interesting people? Sometimes I know them and sometimes I don’t. But one of the things I am really passionate about is supporting farmers. I recently had my friend Saira from Purpose Driven Family Farm on it was an amazing chat. I will include it at the bottom of this post.
But to give you a little background let’s start at the beginning. I met Saira and her husband AJ at a blogger event at a farmer’s market. We were invited by the Fayetteville Visitor’s Bureau to come to check out the farmer’s market at Dirt Bag Ales. After we had our meeting, we were able to browse around the market. Jenny who had coordinated the event, highlighted certain vendors to check out as we browse. They were one of them. I don’t know if the fact they were Hispanic or the fact they were interested in their customers. But I totally fell in love with their farm. So much so that I drove an hour and a half during the pandemic to support them and their farm.
It took a while for our schedules to line up but we finally made the chat happened. It was so informative and we started at the beginning on the why they started their farm, the meaning behind the name, and all the challenges of farm life. It was a fun interview and I hope you enjoy it.
If you don’t have time to watch the video you can always catch the podcast.
